You may or may not remember these two awesome people from an earlier shoot…
Taylor is a great friend. I went to school with him for my undergraduate degree, and we are about to start our Masters program in Religion together at ETBU. He and his new bride Alyssa have played a great role in our youth ministry as well.
Taylor and Alyssa were married at Enoch’s Stop and Winery in Harleton, TX. It was a beautifully HOT June evening. The ceremony was at 7:00pm. There was an interesting thing that happened. A grass fire was blazing somewhere nearby filling the beautiful scenery full of a smoky haze (a different haze than the humidity of East Texas). The haze, however, kept the temperature down a few degrees.
The ceremony was awesome, officiated by the Dean of ETBU’s Religion Department, Dr. John Harris. For me, it was a great time of catching up with friends and spending time with some of my favorite people. We lost light fast, so I had to bust out my dual flash setup for the pictures after the ceremony. We did the best with the conditions we had. My lovely wife, Sarah, held one stand steady in the wind, while my brother in law, Tim, held the other.
The reception happened inside the lodge at Enoch’s Stomp. Taylor and Alyssa…ok, probably just Alyssa and her crew…did a GREAT job of decorating the place. I brought the flashes in to the lodge, and they provided some AMAZING light. All in all, it was an awesome ceremony with an awesome family.
